Two men were arrested Monday April 18, 2005 and charged in connection with dog fighting in the Eight Mile Community, the Mobile County Sheriff's Department said.
Charles Frederick Crawford, 30, of Eight Mile and Victor Leon House, 32, of Mobile were booked into Mobile County Metro Jail on charges of activities related to dog fighting, which is a felony, a sheriff's department news release said. Both men were released Monday on $3,000 bail, the jail log shows.
Sheriff's deputies were patrolling the 7400 block of Parker Road South when they witnessed a dog fight, the release said.
Several other men fled the area, the release said. Four vehicles, a small quantity of steroids and material related to dog fighting were confiscated, the sheriff's department said.
