Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed a dog being beaten to death in Almondsbury to come forward. Police were called to the travellers site at Over Lane on March 28 at about 2pm after they received a call saying a group of males were attacking a dog.
When officers arrived they found a badly beaten golden Lurcher dog buried in a fresh grave.
Police believe the incident happened about 10 metres from the road and that motorists traveling from Almondsbury to Easter Compton may have seen the attack.
