A rental house tenant at 26 SW 23 found her large gray cat hanging from a tree in her backyard. The cat had a rope with one end around its neck and the other end of the rope tied to a tree.

The police reports says it appears the large gray cat had been dead for several days.

The tenant thought perhaps a man and one of his relatives killed her cat because she had reported child abuse complaints against him.

Sergeant Nate Tarver said they had not any arrests made regarding this incident.
