Police found a boxer strangled by a rope and left hanging in a tree behind a vacant house on Gable Street on Sept 6.

The Humane Society of Chatham-Savannah and CrimeStoppers have said $5,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and convcition of those who killed the dog. Members of the Humane Society were so shocked by the news that a donor has added $4,000 to supplement the society's reward of $1,000 for credible information regarding this case.

The female boxer had been dead for days, and she was pregnant.
