Two Rhode Island men charged with breaking into four homes in Attleboro are now facing an additional charge - animal cruelty. Police say 39-year-old Kevin Bailey of East Providence beat the pet dog in one of the homes they are accused of breaking in to on March 7. Both men are being held in jail after pleading innocent to the burglary charges at their arraignment in Attleboro District Court earlier this week.
The dog suffered injuries to her cheek, chin, abdomen and hind quarters. They believe Britney was beaten during the break-in. Britney is recovering.
Shortly after the burglary police caught two men in nearby Norton. Lori Henry said she recognized Kevin Bailey and William Lucas driving through the neighborhood the day of the break-in.
Police believe they're responsible for robberies in Massachusetts and Rhode Island. References« MA State Animal Cruelty Map « More cases in Bristol County, MA
