Defendant/Suspect: Dennis Rodney Marsh
Dennis Rodney Marsh was arrested May 23, 2000 in Florence, OR. Authorities discovered 69 live cats and 39 deceased cats in plastic containers, as well as two live dogs. According to authorities, Marsh was moving the animals between two different locations so as to avoid detection.
Marsh was originally charged with 88 counts of neglect, but pled guilty to reduced charges. He was sentenced to 5 years probation, restitution, psychological counsiling and no animal contact. References- Eugene Register-Guard
