Lincoln police discovered a grisly case of animal abuse in which a cat was beheaded. Leon Smallbear, 22, was arrested for felony animal cruelty His girlfriend told police that he had killed their pet dog and strangled the cat. Smallbear then allegedly cut the cat's head off.

Police said they found the dog and cat carcasses in a shed at Smallbear's girlfriend's house.
