The Sonoma County Sheriff's Department reports that three people, including two teenagers, are in custody today after allegedly committing a home invasion robbery that ended in the death of the property owner's dog on the evening of Feb 19.

Dustin Seymour, 20, of Penngrove, Rene Telles, 19, of Windsor, and Joseph Ferretti, 18, of Rohnert Park were arrested shortly after a home invasion robbery at 10:47 p.m. in the 1400 block of Cougar Lane in Santa Rosa, Sgt. Russell Davidson reports. The suspects allegedly entered the residence of John Muckihaupt, assaulted him and ransacked his home.

As the suspects left the residence, they allegedly shot and killed Muckihaupt's large dog, according to Davidson. They were spotted shortly afterwards on state Highway 12 west of Los Alamos Road and arrested.

Approximately $1,500 in computer equipment was taken in the robbery but recovered in the suspects' vehicle, Davidson reports. Muckihaupt received minor injuries.

Each suspect was booked for robbery, burglary, criminal conspiracy and felony animal cruelty. Seymour and Telles are being held without bail for probation violation. Ferretti's bail is set at $60,000.
