A Bluffton woman was arrested last week on 15 counts of animal cruelty. According to the arrest warrants, Jillian B. Gerber, 21, housed her 12 cats and three dogs in conditions unfit for living. The animals were living in their own urine and feces covering the floors of Gerber's home.

Gerber of Planters Row Court was taken to the Beaufort County Detention Center at about 1:14 p.m. Friday, Feb 11, 2005. She was released later that day on her own recognizance.
