Malcolm Rock, Jr, 60, of Halfmoon has been arraigned on a charge of aggravated animal cruelty and posted $2,500 bail.

State Police said Malcolm Rock rolled a ball into the street to lure the dog in front of his vehicle. When the dog was in front of his Jeep, he ran over the dog killing it. The incident was seen by a witness.

Rock said he ran over the dog because he believed it had killed his cat. He faces felony animal cruelty charges.
