A South Georgia man is arrested for shooting two dogs on his property. A.P. McCord, Jr. of Brooks County is charged with two counts of cruelty to animals and one count of making a terroristic threat.
D.N.R. Rangers say he shot two hound dogs with a shot gun after they wandered away from a hunting trip and into his yard. When their owner went to McCord's home looking for the animals, he says McCord threatened to kill him and the dogs.
McCord denies threatening anyone and says the dogs were harming his livestock.
One of the dogs may lose an eye, but both are expected to survive. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
