Police in Jacksonville have arrested 24-year-old Kimberly Ager on cruelty to animal charges. According to a police report, Ager was in the process of being evicted from the Nautical Apartments at 2760 Mayport Road.

The apartment manager says Ager moved out and left her two dogs behind.

Police say the room where the were kept was completely covered with dog feces and had very little food and no water. Police say it appears the dogs died of dehydration.

Police arrested Ager on Tuesday on charges of cruelty to animals, intentionally causing cruel death and unnecessary suffering.
