County: FranklinDisposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: Jamie Washington Hall
Jamie Washington Hall, 20, who shot his neighbor's dog is sent to jail for one year, fined $2,500 for the Class 1 misdemeanor and ordered to pay $2,000 in restitution.
Hall who raises coon dogs on a property near Renee and Jeff Fulcher's home pleaded no contest and never denied shooting their dog, T-Bone, through the head.
Hall claimed he shot their dog for killing his only male coon dog, but Hall refused to dig up his dog's body for a necropsy that would determing if T-Bone had really killed his dog.
Hall's criminal record includes traffic offenses, one conviction each of killing a deer out of season and hunting wth a license. The Commonwealth's Attorney Cliff Hapgood said, "He does what he wants to do with animals when he wants."
Judge Alexander said Hall did not show any remorse about his actions and there was no excuse for shooting the Fulcher's dog.

Note: Classifications and other fields should not be used to determine what specific charges the suspect is facing or was convicted of - they are for research and statistical purposes only. The case report and subsequent updates outline the specific charges. Charges referenced in the original case report may be modified throughout the course of the investigation or trial, so case updates, when available, should always be considered the most accurate reflection of charges.
