more information on voting
When you vote, you are voting on whether or not the punishment fit the crime, NOT on the severity of the case itself. If you feel the sentence was very weak, you would vote 1 star. If you feel the sentence was very strong, you would vote 5 stars.
Please vote honestly and realistically. These ratings will be used a a tool for many future programs, including a "Peoples Choice" of best and worst sentencing, DA and judge "report cards", and more. Try to resist the temptation to vote 1 star on every case, even if you feel that 100 years in prison isnt enough.

Hanging and beating dog Edmond, OK (US)Incident Date: Sunday, Oct 31, 2004 County: Oklahoma
Disposition: Convicted
Defendant/Suspect: Shawn Stacy Warren
An Edmond man jailed since early November will have to spend at least another month in the Oklahoma County jail on animal cruelty charges. Shawn Stacy Warren, 35, pleaded guilty to the charge last week, but remains jailed without bond until his sentencing Feb. 21, according to Oklahoma County District Court electronic records.
Warren reportedly hanged his black and brown German Shepherd by using its leash and the dog's kennel as a pulley system to lift the dog off the ground by its collar.
While the dog was hanging by its leash, Warren is alleged to have punched and kicked the dog repeatedly for five to 10 minutes before the dog died, according to a police report.
Workers installing a phone line at a nearby residence witnessed the event in Warren's back yard and called police.
Warren entered a blind plea of guilty in the case Jan. 14. He initially was unable to post a $5,000 bond on the charge, and was denied bond that day pending his sentencing next month. References- The Edmond Sun - Jan 21, 2005
