A woman in Seminole County, Fla., was arrested Wednesday after witnesses in a nearby car spotted the woman allegedly abusing a puppy.  Police said several passengers on a road witnessed Joanna Cuervo disciplining her puppy by repeatedly lifting it off the ground by the leash, kicking the puppy, and beating it. 

The witnesses told authorities she refused to stop when they asked her. Cuervo is charged with animal cruelty.
