Richard Kimball was found guilty by a jury of conspiracy to commit criminal mischief as well as criminal trespass in the death of Ted, a Belgium draft horse. Sentencing to be determined at a later date.

Scott Adams, age 30, pleaded guilty to the same charges and was given a one-year sentence in the Sullivan County House of Correction, with six months suspended, along with five years probation and conduct stipulations. He must also submit a self-improvement plan for the first year of probation. That plan must include keeping authoritites abreast of his activities, including his employment status and dealing with alcohol issues. He must also pay $4,200 restitution to Dana Dodge, the owner of the horse. Adams shot Ted in the right rear leg, causing the animal to bleed internally and die slowly.

Marc Kemmis, age 31, has been charged but his case has not gone to trial yet.
