Two dogs mutilated and beaten
Miami, FL (US)

Incident Date: Tuesday, Oct 31, 2000
County: Miami-Dade

Disposition: Open

Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Two mutilated dogs were found in the streets of Southwest Miami. Police are investigating.

A motorist reported two dogs lying in the street. Police report that one dog a tan, adult male terrier, had metal wire wrapped around his hind legs and genitals. There was a hook at the end of the wire that police think was used to hang or further torture the dog.

The second dog, a Shepherd-Labrador, was found nearby in a cardboard box. The puppy's nose and mouth were bloodied and she was crumpled in an "unnatural" position.

Police are looking for clues leading to a suspect in the mutilations.
