Two women, three dogs shot
Oklahoma City, OK (US)

Incident Date: Monday, Jan 3, 2005
County: Oklahoma

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Benito Bowie

Oklahoma City police say they've arrested a man in connection with the shooting of two women outside a southwest Oklahoma City apartment complex. Police say Angela Adkins was killed and Elizabeth Baker was wounded in the shooting late Monday afternoon.

Sergeant Charles Phillips says officers responding to a report of a man shooting a dog found one of the women in the parking lot and the second in the apartment's courtyard.

Phillips says police arrested Benito Bowie junior at the scene of the shooting.

Bowie is being held on complaints of first-degree murder, shooting with intent to kill, possession of drugs and animal cruelty.

Police say they have no motive for the shootings and that Bowie also shot three dogs in the area, killing one.
