An Albuquerque man who rescued a dog from an abandoned home is looking for someone to adopt it.

Nicholas Aranda said someone left a dog in a house when they moved out. He rescued the dog when he cleaned out the house.

"They left a note saying they would be back on Dec. 11 to pick up the dog," Aranda said. "They came back and took their stuff, and they left the dog anyway."

Aranda can't keep the dog, but said he fears the dog will be euthanized if he turns it over to a shelter.

That's why he is looking for someone to adopt the dog. Anybody interested can call City Hall at (505) 768-3036.
