An Albuquerque man who rescued a dog from an abandoned home is looking for someone to adopt it.

Nicholas Aranda said someone left a dog in a house when they moved out. He rescued the dog when he cleaned out the house.

�They left a note saying they would be back on Dec. 11 to pick up the dog,� Aranda said. �They came back and took their stuff, and they left the dog anyway.�

Aranda can�t keep the dog, but said he fears the dog will be euthanized if he turns it over to a shelter.

That�s why he is looking for someone to adopt the dog. Anybody interested can call City Hall at (505) 768-3036.
