Hoarding - over 100 cats

Humane officers Kathy Hecker and Katie Waters from Animal Friends and Elaine Gower from Action for Animals returned today to a home on Joan Drive in the North Huntingdon Township area after receiving reports about animal neglect. As of 5:00 p.m., officers garbed in HAZMAT suits are still in the process of removing more than 100 cats from a home covered with cat urine and feces. Many of the cats found in the home were dead. Humane officers have not determined what animal cruelty charges will be filed against the elderly homeowner.
