Disposition: Open
Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!
A 3-year old Pug dog was found hanging over a wooded ravine after he disappeared from his yard. The dogsitter found the dog missing and the chain lying in the yard. A second Pug was still in the yard and unharmed.
A rope had been tied around the Pug's neck with a slipknot, with the other end tied to a tree. There were no other signs of violence.
Police Captain Forrest Conover said the hanging "appears to he intentional, the way the slipknot was tied around the dog's neck and where the animal was found." "It was a steep gully, not easily accessible." "Someone had to go out of their way to get there."
