Police arrested George Cummings of Coventry on a charge of malicious injury to or killing of animals, after he allegedly shot a neighbor's dog.

Cummings' mother says her son shot the German shephard because it was going after their chickens. But the dog's owner says the dog grew up with chickens and would never attack them.

Cummings is set to be in court in December.
