Dog killed by kicking

Defendant/Suspect: Lee Clark

Lee Clark, 32, pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty, a Class B, misdemeanor. He said the dog walked into the house and would not leave. He kicked the dog once and it ran into the yard, where it died a few minutes later.

Clark said he had never seen the dog before and was concerned about the safety of his two young children who were inside the house.

He was fined $100 and ordered to complete 30 hours of community service at an animal shelter.
