Angelo Allums, 18, who set a dog on fire and pelted a puppy with rocks pleaded guilty to two counts of animal cruelty.

Allums and another teen cornered a Rottweiler-Doberman Pinscher mix and set her on fire. They pelted another dog with rocks breaking the dog's paw.

Punishment to be determined at a later hearing.


Case Updates

Angelo Allums, 18, was sentenced to two years' probation, fined $600 and sent to a boot camp. He received three months' jail time in the evading case and will serve it concurrently with the boot camp program.

Prosecutor Alpert said Allums recently said he did not use drugs but tested positive for cocaine, heroine and marijuana, and has bragged about his gang affiliations.
