Shooting deaths of four dogs and injury of another on Whiskey Island within the past week have prompted a Cleveland Animal Protection League investigation. None of the dogs died instantly, they crawled off and died 12 to 30 hours later.

First shooting reported Nov 30 by worker who found German Shepherd with one of its front legs shot off.
