Ian Fenner, 17, pleaded guilty to the drive-by shooting of a pet llama and was sentenced to three years and five months in prison. Fenner received maximum sentence because of his lack of remorse and disrespect for the property of others and living things.
The pet llama was shot in the spine with a .22-caliber rifle and later had to be destroyed.
Fenner and another 17 year old, Ryan D. Welton of Wenatchee, both pleaded guilty earlier this month.
Both Fenner and Welton pleaded guilty to drive-by shooting, second-degree unlawful possession of a firearm and first-degree animal cruelty, all felonies.
Fenner's sentences will be served concurrently. In addition to prison time, he must pay $860 in court costs and restitution of $2,000-$3,000 to the owners of the llama. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
