John W. Logue Jr of Cockeysville and two of his friend were accused of shooting cows in the head last spring. Logue, was charged with six counts of animal cruelty, three counts of mulilating animals and three counts of malicious destruction of property, pleaded guilty to one count of animal cruelty.
Logue admitted to shooting a cow and received the maximum sentence of three years despite pleading for a light sentence.
Logue was also ordered to pay $5,000 fine and make restitution to the cows' owners.
