A Poodle at New York City Care and Control was found to be bleeding from the rectum. After being overlooked for more than two weeks, the Herding Dog Rescue group pulled him, where he was immediately taken for X-rays.
It was discovered that someone had shoved rocks up his rectum and left him for dead. He had been picked up by the police and taken to animal control thinking that he was hit by a car. He was in shock do to the rocks that were inside him. Herding Dog rescue has incurred a medical bill of over $3,000 so far to repair Punkin' rectum.
The dog, named Punkin, is at the Garden State Veterinary Specialties in Tinton Falls, New Jersey under the expert care of Dr. Scavelli.
