A woman found six beheaded birds while walking along the beach Monday. The six large birds were grouped in twos and facing all in the same direction - The New Jersey Society for the Prevention and Cruelty to Animals is investigating.

SPCA officials said they believe the goose, pheasant, chicken and other birds were killed as part of a ritualistic sacrifice.

"The location is right where the old Hutton mansion used to be and there had been a lot of reported devil worship and things like that going in there, said Rich Frank."

The Hutton mansion was built in the 1920s. Heiress Barbara Hutton, who had been married to actor Cary Grant, allegedly held seances there.

The mansion was torn down in 2002, but investigators said this latest animal sacrifice shows the lure of the mansion is still there.

SPCA investigators are asking anyone with information on the beheadings to call them at 609-927-9059.
