The Collier County Sheriff's Office and Collier County Domestic Animal Services responded to an anonymous tip about alleged cock fighting on Thursday afternoon. Domestic Animal Services confiscated 26 roosters, 8 hens and a chick many of which were being raised to fight.

An anonymous tip led Collier County Domestic Animal Services  discovering 26 roosters, 8 hens and one chick that were being trained to cock fight.

Some of the roosters had their comb cut off so it wouldn't be pecked at while fighting.

Cockfighting, or even possessing the paraphernalia is a felony punishable by jail time.
