Suspect(s) Unknown - We need your help!

Animal Control officers are searching for the homeowner accused of tying a dog to a van and leaving it unattended.

On Saturday, officers continued searching the property at the 4900 block of Burnside Avenue in South Dallas. The day before, two dogs were removed from the home, one malnourished and covered in fleas and ants.

Several other dead animals were removed from the property.

Neighbors said they had been trying to get city officials to visit the property for months.

"As an animal lover, that hurts my heart that I can't go over here because this is private property. I can't give the dog any water, I can't give the dog and food and I've got to smell it when it dies," said neighbor Brenda Choice.

Officers said the owner now faces criminal charges.

Doctors are nursing one of the dogs back to health and say it should be up for adoption soon.
