A wounded loon found in Limestone Creek, near DeRuyter Reservoir in May of 1999. Loons are rare in Central NY and illegal to hunt. Wildlife rehabilitator, Cindy Page, who cared for the bird, guessed it had been suffering for 2-4 weeks.
