A Suwanee man faces animal cruelty charges after allegedly strangling his brother's dog to death. Ronald Steve "Ronnie" Wilson, 46, was jailed at about 4 a.m. Thursday for loitering around Annandale Village on Annandale Lane and peering into windows and doors of the housing units, authorities said. The officer noted Wilson appeared to be intoxicated. He was mumbling incoherently that he was a kitty cat and he threatened the police officer, according to Capt. Clyde Byers of Suwanee Police.

Several hours after Wilson bonded out of jail, police learned he had strangled his brothers dog with a belt just prior to being arrested that morning, Byers said. The deceased animal was described only as a medium-sized black dog.

Wilsons mother told police Wilson had threatened to harm the dog because his brother wasnt letting him into the house. The brother reportedly had refused to do so because of Wilsons intoxicated state.

New charges were taken out against Wilson for aggravated cruelty to animal and terroristic threats.
