The Austin Police Department charged a man with animal cruelty. Detectives said Adrian Robert Hild, 23, was seen dangling a kitten from a car window along the road.

A witness called police with a description of the car and license plate number.

The incident happened July 24 on Research Boulevard near Duval Road in Northwest Austin.

Hild is charged with Cruelty to an Animal, a class A misdemeanor. His bond is $500. He could face a fine up to $4,000 and 1 year in jail.
