A Harlem man was arrested in August for allegedly abandoning his two dogs in his apartment where one apparently ate the other. Rodney McNeil had been sought after neighbors complained about a stench coming from his East 135th Street apartment.
Inside, police found a dead pit bull and a barely alive Rottweiler.
When McNeil, 43, showed up in Bronx Criminal Court to plead guilty to marijuana possession, the ASPCA arrested him on two charges of animal cruelty. McNeil allegedly left his apartment and moved into a homeless shelter. Neighborhood MapFor more information about the Interactive Animal Cruelty Maps, see the map notes.
