An Indiana man is behind bars for beating and beheading a dog. Art Buschur, 40,  plead guilty to cruelty to animals in Mercer County, Ohio. He was accused of beating a boxer dog with a shovel and beheading it with a pocket knife in June. He said the dog trespassed on his mother's property near Montezuma and tried to attack a woman.

Several residents in the area were outraged and contacted authorities.

Buschur was sentenced to five days in jail and a one thousand dollar fine.
