Salt Lake Police are searching for a suspect in a disturbing case of animal cruelty.

Stephanie Ursenbach says she knew something was wrong when she woke up this morning and her three year old cat Pepper wasn't in bed with her.

After she and her brother started to search, they found the cat's body moments later in a neighbor's yard. The animal's paws had been bound together and he had been strangled.

Animal Services is asking anyone with information to give them a call. They're concerned that whoever killed Pepper may harm another animal or another person.
