On July 1, 2004 Pete Cicci, 47, of 173 Schumacher Rd., Candor, NY 13743 , was charged with animal cruelty for failure to provide proper sustenance to a horse. The pre-trial hearing is set for Sept. 13 at 2 pm.

Two mustangs remain in Cicci's custody. An officer with the local humane society is checking on them weekly and claims they are in good condition.

Peter Cicci, 47, convicted of violating state animal cruelty laws in the starvation death of a horse was sentenced to three years probation May 2, 2005 in town court.

Peter Cicci, 47, of Candor was convicted in February of violating New York State Agricultural and Market Law Article 26 for animal cruelty for allowing Anna, a horse he purchased in December 2003, to starve to death. In addition to three years probation, Cicci must perform 160 hours of community service, restitution for 48 hours of care and he's prohibited from owning animals during his probation.

On February 11, 2005 Peter Cicci, of Schumacher Rd., Candor, NY was found guilty of animal cruelty for the starvation of a horse named Anna. Sentencing is scheduled for May 02, 2005.
