Alleged: Brian Jay Martin

Brian Jay Martin, 24, was arrested Oct. 24 for allegedly killing a kitten. Earlier in the evening, a dispute between Martin and his wife over household chores reportedly erupted into violence. Martin is accused of hurling a knife at his wife and ransacking their house before leaving with some of his clothes. The kitten was later discovered on the front porch, apparently killed by a kick to the head.

According to local news reports, several children were in the home at the time of Martin's alleged rampage. Martin is currently being held in the Oklahoma County jail in lieu of $25,000 bond. He's facing charges of animal cruelty and assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
