Alleged: Wilmore Slaughter, Jr

Wilmore Slaughter Jr. was charged with one count of animal cruelty.  Slaughter, 42, who lives in north Tulsa County, is accused of banding a dog to castrate it.

It is legal to band cows and other livestock for castration, but not dogs, Long said.

"It wasn't done properly, also, and it caused the dog excruciating pain and misery," Long said.
