Adandoning horse
Tulsa, OK (US)

Incident Date: Friday, Mar 5, 2004
County: Tulsa

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Virgil Richard Robinson

Virgil Richard Robinson was charged with one count of animal cruelty. Robinson, 41, is accused of abandoning a horse and a dog on land in west Tulsa County, where he rented a house, said Tulsa County Sheriff's Deputy David Long, the department's animal control officer.

The horse was left outside and was undernourished, Long said. A neighbor who told deputies that no one had been seen at the house in more than a week was giving the horse water and grass clippings.

The dog, also undernourished, was recovered from inside the house, where Robinson allegedly had left it locked without food or water, Long said.
