A Poplarville man was arrested on two charges of allegedly operating a "hog-dog" rodeo at his home.

The Pearl River County Grand Jury indicted Frankie Wheat, 44, with a felony charge of animal cruelty and a related count of charging money for admission to the illegal event.

If convicted of the felony animal cruelty charges, Wheat could face between 12 months and five years in prison, full restitution and fines of up to $10,000.
