Jerrett Sullivan, 20, and Daniel Scott, 19, were arrested and remain jailed at the Collin County Detention Center for beating and drowining a stray cat. Bail is set at $5,000 each.

The men allegedly jumped a fence into an apartment complex pool area around 11 p.m. Sunday and grabbed the cat, Capt. Robert Dean of Mckinney police said. The complex is in the 400 block of South Wilson Creek Boulevard. The men do not live at the complex.

They started beating the cat against the wall and floor. Then they threw him in the pool and held him down with a net. Authorities stated, they scooped him out, and that's when the officers arrived.
