West Boise, ID dog owners contacted authorities on May 28 to report that the dog responsible for making them "dog owners" had been poisoned in it's own yard and died as a result. Police have verified that the dog was indeed poisoned and are acitvely searching for the person(s) responsible for the crime. Poisoning animals is punishable in Idaho by up to three years of imprisonment and fines upward of $5,000.
