Gloversville, NY (US)

Incident Date: Tuesday, May 25, 2004
County: Fulton

Disposition: Alleged

Alleged: Andrew Jarratt

Police say a Gloversville man used a compound hunting bow to shoot a dog twice in the face. Andrew Jarratt was arrested under Buster's Law, the charge, felony cruelty to animals. Police say Jarratt was letting his dogs into the backyard of his South Kingsboro Ave. home when another dog approached him. Police say when Jarratt tried to keep the dog away from his dogs, the animal bit him in the thumb.

Jarratt then shot the dog with the bow. One arrow landed in its snout. The dog took off and is now being treated at an animal hospital.
