Concord Police are investigating a possible case of animal cruelty in which their prime suspect is a former animal rescue worker for the SPCA.

3 dogs and a parrot were rescued from the Concord boarding house.  They believe there may also be cats hiding somewhere in the apartment.

The landlord said the tenants, Richard and Sandra Lane, in the past have gone on overnight trips to Boston for medical treatment, but that the long time away from their pets was unusual.

Police are considering cruelty charges, but also are trying to find the couple.
