An Oklahoma City man is in jail after police raid an alleged cockfighting operation. The suspect is identified as 40-year-old Roberto Hernandez. Police Sgt. Gary Knight says Hernandez was operating an illegal cockfighting ring out of his backyard. During a raid, Knight says officers found dead, mutiliated roosters and a fighting ring in a shed. They also found dozens of sharpened knives used to strap on the birds' legs. Hernandez faces numerous charges.

Hernandez, 40, was taken to the Oklahoma County jail where he was released on $6,000 bail.  The 80 birds were humanely euthanized.
