Chad Mitchell Riggs, 29 was sentenced to 90 days in jail last week after being convicted of a cruelty to animals.

Chad Mitchell Riggs, of Hart, was sentenced and the sentence was to be served at the court's discretion and run concurrent with another sentence. Fines and costs were waived.

The allegations against Riggs last year were that he bound a cats legs together with tape and attempted to give the cat to a  Deli employee in Pentwater. The employee removed the tape from two of the cat's legs before the cat ran away.
