The Wood County Sheriff's Department is looking for information about an animal shooting. A female elk was reported dead, possibly shot to death, at an Auburndale farm on December 7.

Anyone with information on the animal shooting is asked to call Wood County authorities at 715-421-8700. The shooting could be classified as criminal damage to property because of the high value of the animal killed.
