Kitten Scalded and Leg Broken

Des Moines police are considering animal cruelty charges in the case of a six month old kitten that was scalded and also had its leg broken. 

The kitten, named Chico, was taken to a vet in Urbandale twice in the last few weeks.  The first time the owner said the cat had jumped into a pot of boiling water.  The second time the kitten was taken to the vet, its leg was broken. 

Dr. Anil Regmi reported Chico's case to the police.  He is donating his services and has found a safe, new home for Chico. 

The police are investigating and Arturo Escalante is wanted for questioning in regards to this case.
